Jacinta Parsons

Our Pyjama Interviews guest ABC Radio Broadcaster Jacinta Parsons has been living with Crohns disease for over 20 years.

Her first book Unseen is powerful and poignant memoir of her own experience of living with invisible illness.

Jacinta is an ambassador for the Crohn’s and Colitis Association

 

Samantha Wills

Samantha Wills started her self-titled jewellery company on the kitchen table when she was just 21 years old. She went on to become a global sensation.

In our Pyjama Interview we discuss her new memoir Of Gold and Dust Samantha shares the intimate details of her life, business and her experience of living with endometriosis.

 

Sarah Ramey

Sarah Ramey is a writer and musician (known as Wolf Larsen) living between Washington, DC and Tucson, Arizona.  

Sarah has been living multiple serious illnesses for seventeen years including Chronic Fatigue, CRPS, MCAS, POTS.

Her first book The Lady’s Handbook for Her Mysterious Illness has been featured in The Paris Review, Ms. Magazine, Salon, The Atlantic & The Washington Post.

 

 

Lauren Selfridge

San Fransisco based Lauren Selfridge works online as a licensed Marriage and Family Psychotherapist supporting people living with chronic illness and their partners.

Lauren has lived with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis for five years. She regularly shares her lived experience and expertise as the host of the popular podcast for spoonies This is not what I ordered focussed on full-hearted living with chronic illness and health challenges.

 

Ashley Kalagian Blunt

Ashley Kalagian Blunt is a Sydney-based author. Her books include My Name Is Revenge and How to Be Australian, a memoir. 

 

Sally MacKinnon

Sally Mackinnon is one of Melbourne’s most experienced Personal Stylists for men and women, launching her business Styled by Sally in 2007.

 

Izzy Kornblau

Izzy is a 23-year old New Yorker and an aspiring genetic counselor who lives with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, along with other conditions it causes (POTS, Gastroparesis, Muscle Tension Dysphonia, and TMJD).

Izzy's YouTube channel has 20,000 subscribers. She regularly educates her followers and shares tips about navigating relationships, schooling, and healthcare, all while chronically ill.

 

 

Flic Manning

Flic Manning is a speaker, author and wellness expert. She successfully maintained her dancing and choreography career whilst living with invisible illness, determined to live well despite doctors telling her it was impossible. 

Flic created Corethentic; a wellness system that aims to assist those struggling with chronic conditions.

She is also an ambassador for Crohn's and Colitis AustraliaMental Health Foundation Australia and FitRec.

Her debut memoir Living Human is due out in 2021.

 

Kath Elliott

Kath Elliott is a passionate breast cancer awareness advocate. She discovered a large lump in her breast in 2019 which was the impetus for her starting on a sacred journey of self-discovery and healing; physically, emotionally and spiritually. 

Kath is now cancer free and has recently started her own business My Breast Friend, a direct result from her experience with breast cancer.

 

 

Michelle Irving

Michelle gets it. While bed-bound twice in the past decade, she has mastered the art of living well while experiencing serious illness.

Michelle is driven by a mission to de-shame and transform conversations around illness.

Michelle gets it. While bed-bound twice in the past decade, she has mastered the art of living well while experiencing serious illness.

Michelle is driven by a mission to de-shame and transform conversations around illness.

She keeps it real. In her forthright style, she provides practical relationship and self-care strategies for the whole illness journey from diagnosis to survivorship.

Her work is informed by her own experience living with a life-threatening autoimmune condition and a chronic vertigo condition. Plus her extensive professional development in somatic therapy, cancer survivorship and women's leadership.
